Something not working, a deck that would not import, or an idea for what should come next? Write below and it reaches me directly.

These four come up most often, and the answer is immediate.

My Anki deck would not import

Cardpace reads .apkg and .colpkg files from every version of Anki, including the newer compressed format. If one is rejected, the file is usually incomplete — a download that stopped early, or a package re-zipped by another tool. Try exporting it again from Anki with Include media ticked, then send me the error message the app showed and I will look at it.

Will my review history come across?

Yes, and it is free. Due dates, intervals, ease, lapses and the full review log are imported along with the cards, so a five-year-old deck arrives with its five years intact rather than starting over. This is not part of Pro and will not become part of it.

I bought Pro but it is not showing

Open Settings → Cardpace Pro → Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to that account and can be restored on any device, at any time, forever. If restoring does not work, tell me the Apple Account’s country and the approximate purchase date.

How do I get my cards out of Cardpace?

Settings → Data → Export. CSV export is free and always will be; Pro also exports full-fidelity .apkg packages that Anki reads. You are never locked in.

Write to me

Telling me your device model, iOS version and the app version (Settings → About) usually saves a round trip. For an import problem, the deck’s size and where it came from helps most.
