Meal Scanner ("the App") is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your personal health and nutrition data should stay on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. Meal Scanner does not have user accounts, servers, or analytics. All your data is stored locally on your device and synced privately via your personal iCloud account.

3. Camera & Photos

Meal Scanner uses your device's camera and photo library solely to analyze food for nutrition information. Photos are processed entirely on your device using an on-device machine learning model. No images are sent to any server or third party.

4. Health Data

• Apple Health (HealthKit): If you grant permission, Meal Scanner can read your step count and active calories, and write meal nutrition data to Apple Health. This data is exchanged directly with Apple's HealthKit framework and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• We never access, store, or transmit your health data outside of your device.

5. Data Storage

• Local Storage: All nutrition logs, meal entries, preferences, and settings are stored on your device.
• iCloud Sync: If enabled, your data syncs across your devices through Apple's iCloud service. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

6. Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
• Apple iCloud: If you use iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container. We cannot access this data.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your data never leaves your device or iCloud account.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual meals or logs within the App.
• Deleting the App from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
