By downloading, installing, or using Meal Scanner ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Meal Scanner is an AI-powered nutrition tracking application for iOS. The App uses on-device machine learning to identify food from photos and provides tools to track daily calorie intake, macronutrients, and water consumption.

3. User Accounts and Data

Meal Scanner stores all data locally on your device and via iCloud sync. We do not maintain user accounts on our servers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

• Meal Scanner offers a free tier with limited features and a Premium subscription with additional features including unlimited scans, full history, widgets, and Apple Health sync.
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks.

6. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

Meal Scanner is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. AI-powered food recognition may not always be accurate. Nutritional values provided are estimates based on standard serving sizes and should not be considered medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian for personalized nutrition guidance.

7. AI Accuracy

The food recognition feature uses machine learning and may occasionally misidentify foods or provide inaccurate nutritional information. Users should verify nutritional data for critical dietary needs, especially for allergies, medical conditions, or specialized diets.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, machine learning models, and trademarks within Meal Scanner are the property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any health-related decisions made based on the App's nutritional information.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
