1. Agreement

By downloading or using Readglide (“the App”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What you are buying

Readglide is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and there are no in-app purchases. Everything in the App is included in the price you pay, and improvements are delivered as free updates. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s refund policy.

3. What the App measures — and what that means

Readglide reports one headline number: your effective reading rate, which is your word rate multiplied by your comprehension score. Raw speed is never shown on its own, because reading faster while understanding less is not reading faster.

Comprehension is estimated from multiple-choice questions or, where those are unavailable, from a short summary you write yourself. These are estimates produced by software, not a clinical or educational assessment. The App makes no claim about how much your reading will improve, and no claim to diagnose or treat any condition.

4. Your texts

You can bring your own material into the App by pasting it, importing a file, sharing a page, or capturing a page with the camera. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you import. Do not import material you are not permitted to copy.

The passages that ship with the App were written for Readglide and are published under CC BY 4.0.

5. Your data stays with you

The App makes no network requests and stores everything on your device. That also means there is no backup on our side: if you delete the App or lose the device, your history is gone. Settings offers “Export my data” — use it if your history matters to you.

6. Camera

Camera access is optional and used only to turn a page of text into words. You can revoke it at any time in the Settings app; the App keeps working without it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to decompile, redistribute or resell the App.

8. No warranty

The App is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data. Your remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it and, where applicable, request a refund from Apple.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. Changes will appear on this page with an updated date.
